Spring Term

Welcome back to the Spring Term of Sparklers and a special welcome to anyone who is new to Sparklers this term: we hope you will feel very much at home with us.

Our theme this term is “Favourite Bible stories” and each week at story time we will be sharing some great stories using our book bag and various puppets to help tell the story. It’s a really important part of the morning where we want to teach the children simple truths, so please encourage your children by listening with them during the story and talking time; and to join in enthusiastically when it’s the singing time!

Spring term ends on 26/27/28 March

Extra events at Sparklers this term:

Sparklers @ Whoosh Play Centre – On 30/31 January and 1 February, there will be no Sparklers at the Kerith Centre as Kerith are hosting a conference. Instead, for those of you who would like to, we will meet at Whoosh at your normal session time i.e. Monday 1.00pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 10.00am. We are not booking the whole of Whoosh for Sparklers, so we would recommend getting there early to avoid disappointment as there are a maximum number of children for each session. Cost varies dependent on the age of the child. For full details visit their website at www.whooshplaycentre.com

Time Out – On 12/13/14 March, we are having a special session of Sparklers. It’s a chance for you to have a little bit of “time out” for yourself whilst your children are being very well cared for by our Team. More details to follow soon.

Lunch – We’re extending Sparklers until 12.45pm on 19/20/21 March. Please bring lunch for you and your children, and we’ll provide the drinks and cakes.

Birthdays - We’ll be celebrating recent birthdays 9/10/11 January, 6/7/8 February and 5/6/7 March.

Swaps - on 27/28/29 Feb. This is your opportunity to bring in and donate unwanted toys, books, DVDs, puzzles and nursery equipment that are clean and in good condition (no clothes) and to take away anything that you like.

Easter parties – on 26/27/28 March. More details after half term.

Finally, in the event of us having to cancel a Sparklers session due to snow, we will notify you here!
