Youth sailing Project

With the support of the parents and young people from our Monday Night Youth Club, we are planning our first season's sailing, Summer 2011.

As part of the process of developing this activity we  have received some funding through Aiming High to purchase a boat.  We have bought  a Wayfarer Mk II for £1,750.  We hope to fully participate in next year's sailing season, and are working with Burghfield Sailing Club to make this possible.  We will be taking a small group of staff/volunteers for Sailing theory level 1 on 9th and 23rd March, and Konnections will be providing the sailing club with disability awareness training on 6th April. The team will then have practical training on the water in our boats on 9th April ready for the season to start.
