Serenje Penpals...

.....is an opportunity to share lives and prayers with women in Serenje, Zambia by exchanging letters.
We have more than fifty letters from ladies in Serenje who have written in response to both the letters that Unique sent out ; and the two Kerith trips earlier this year. All of these ladies would love to hear from someone in our church. The letters are very beautiful and very touching.

By writing letters we’ll share lives and prayers, connecting the women of both the Kerith and Serenje communities. We aim to exchange letters or cards 2-3 times a year.

FAQ's

Q) How often am I committed to write?
A) You can take part every time or only once, the choice is yours. The ladies know that they will receive letters from the different women from the kerith community each time.
Q) I don’t want to give out my address.
A) Please don’t give out your address! All communication will be via the church address.
Q) What if I am asked for money or I would like to send them a present?
A) Remember that most of the Serenje women live together in close rural communities. It’s therefore really important that we treat all of the women fairly. All you have to send by way of a gift is the letter and a commitment to remember them in your prayers.
