Introduce yourself

God in control
Hi, I am fairly new to Kerith and started attending just before Christmas. I have one daughter Ava who goes to little gems and I am expecting a second daughter in April. I just wanted to briefly share how God has turned me around in the last few weeks.

There is a lot going on at the moment as my work life is uncertain due to my boss leaving end of Feb and with me going on mat leave in March not sure where I will be on my return. Then another spanner was thrown into the works after a recent scan of our baby showed up something that for several days had us really worried that there was something wrong with her face. My uncle has been diagnosed with cancer and I feel a constant struggle to balance church and homelife with a wonderful husband (but who is happy for me to attend church but isn't keen on the whole religion thing himself)

I spent a lot of time worrying and being fearful until the last weeks sermon from Simon and today's from Lee really hit home that I am not in control of any of this and I have to let go completely and put it in God's hands. Now I find that REALLY difficult as I am not one to be out of control and to actually trust that these things will all work out for the best is probably the hardest thing I have done but I suddenly feel at peace with everything. The baby is fine and it appears that she just has blocked tearducts which should resolve and I feel very calm about work and life in general.

So a big thank you to him upstairs and to those who have passed his message down. Now I just need to try keep in contact with God daily rather than being too busy and just waiting for sundays!

Hi Laura
Great to hear that you're enjoying church - and finding God in the middle of difficult circumstances. How did you first come along to Church - do you have any friends already at Kerith?
It'd be great to meet you one Sunday. Hey - if you are free this Saturday what about coming along to the Mamma Mia film afternoon from 4-7pm? I'd love to get you a ticket - just call the Kerith Centre reception on 01344 862699 and leave me a message if you'd like to come. Otherwise come and say hi one Sunday,
Love Catrina x
